Program Overview

Douglas College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Graduate Diploma Program. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of a comprehensive program that focuses on psychosocial rehabilitation interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Graduate Diploma Program, ensuring its smooth operation and alignment with college goals.
  • Plan and schedule courses, workshops, and webinars, collaborating with faculty members to deliver high-quality educational programs.
  • Recruit students and provide information sessions, promoting the program and its benefits to potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with faculty members in selecting teaching staff, ensuring a diverse and experienced team.
  • Support faculty members in delivering courses, providing administrative assistance and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Advise and assist students throughout the program, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Develop educational programs for the mental health and substance use field, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Organize workshops and webinars on psychosocial rehabilitation approaches, providing opportunities for professional development and networking.
  • Coordinate the development of standards and evaluation frameworks for psychosocial rehabilitation, ensuring the program's quality and effectiveness.
  • Provide secretariat services to the Provincial PSR Advisory Committee, supporting its activities and initiatives.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Teaching experience at undergraduate and post-degree levels, with a proven track record of success.
  • Clinical experience in mental health settings, with a strong understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation interventions.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
