Requirements
Where You’ll Shine:Social Media Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that enhance brand presence and engage our passionate fan base.
- Maintain and optimize our social media accounts on platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Foster two-way conversations with followers, building a strong community and responding to inquiries.
Content Creation & Design
- Working with the Content Team and assist in creating visually engaging content that captures the spirit of Rider Nation.
- Creating short-form social media content specific to channels like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
- Working collaboratively with photographers, videographers, and graphic designers to bring creative ideas to life.
- Curate and manage content calendars that prioritize high-quality content with the potential to generate revenue.
Audience Insights & Analytics
- Utilize analytics tools to track digital performance and generate reports highlighting areas for improvement.
- Stay ahead of the curve by conducting market research on industry trends and cultural touchpoints.
Fan Engagement & Community Building
- Embody the Rider “voice”, connecting authentically with our diverse audience while aligning with our core values.
- Identify and leverage viral trends, memes, and cultural moments to enhance relatability and engagement while adhering to brand standards.
- Be the go-to person for real-time fan interactions, addressing questions, feedback, and technical issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with departments such as Football Operations, Ticketing, Partnerships, Retail, and Communications to align messaging and achieve common goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create promotional assets and campaigns that drive fan engagement.
Special Projects & Events
- Support game-day activities and other organizational events by creating and managing live content, curating an engaging experience for fans.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Digital Media, Marketing, or similar
- 1-2 years experience working in social media.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of sports and specifically the CFL
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud and other content creation tools and software.
- Ability to analyze data and transform insights into actionable strategies.
- Creative mindset with strong visual design skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with photo and video equipment is considered a valuable asset.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing trends and environments.
- Availability to work irregular hours and work schedules, including all game days.
