InsuranceAdministrator

Weare hiring for our client in the insurance industry to support amajor project within group benefits administration. This is a6month contract with a strong potential for extension or transitionto a permanent position based on performance. The role will behybrid requiring 3 days per week onsite at Halifaxoffice.

Whatis in it foryou:

Hourly salary of $27 to $29 based onexperience.
6month contract withthe potential for permanentemployment.
Fulltime position:37.50 hours per week.
Weekdayschedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work: 3 office days from Tuesday toThursday.

Responsibilities:

Ensure member data integrity and protection from unauthorizedchanges.
Analyze data for clientsetup compatibility and provide technical expertise on Vloadrequirements including file layout and claimshistory.
Support Plan MemberAdministration with technical and administrative tasks includingmember setup and data loadactivities.
Recommend solutionsfor Vload offerings based on client data and collaborate with theIT team for user acceptancetesting.
Attend client meetingsto gather and document plan member datarequirements.
Load all memberdata related to new clients including claims history and HealthCare Spending Account balances.
Identify process improvements in workflows and systems related togroup benefitsadministration.

Whatyou will need tosucceed:

Bachelors degree is an asset but notrequired.
1 year of experiencewith group benefits and benefitsadministration.
Intermediate toadvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL including VisualBasic programming (filtering data creating columns formulasetc.).
Strong communicationnegotiation and relationship managementskills.
Familiarity with standardpayroll and electronic filemanagement.
Confidence resilienceand the ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpacedenvironment.
Ability to adapt tochange and embrace it.
Capable ofbuilding successful relationships across teams both locally andglobally.
Ability to thrive underpressure and maintain composure during challenginginteractions.
Problemsolvingskills with sound judgment to make businessdecisions.
Good knowledge ofBenefits Administration Systems (Vital Objects) is aplus.
Experience in buildingfiles for electronic management teams is anasset.
