Vice-President, Enterprise Payments Strategy and Partnerships

As the Vice-President, Enterprise Payments Strategy and Partnerships, you will develop and refine TD's Payments strategy, gaining buy-in from senior leadership and ensuring alignment and consistency across partners. In addition, you will be accountable for:
Enterprise Payments Strategy: Develop the strategic vision and 3-5 year roadmap for long term payments strategy for Enterprise payments that defines how we win based on trends and developments in the markets where TD is present, including partnering with senior leaders across TD to develop and deliver North American and Global payments initiatives.Collaborate with internal innovation partners to develop innovative solutions, intellectual property for TD and house views on relevant strategic payment topics.Lead the Enterprise Payments Council, bringing together partners from across TD to inform, shape and prioritize the Payments strategy, including regular reporting to the Senior Executive Team and Board of Directors.Partner with TD Corporate Development and innovation partners to evaluate and develop a portfolio of payments partnerships and acquisitions that empower TD's leadership in the payments space.Represent TD at industry-level Payments forums to inform and shape industry positions; be active externally to build brand and influence Line of Business Engagement on Payments Strategies: Compile end-to-end aggregation of Payment Strategies across all lines of business to drive visibility, opportunity and clarity of trade-off decisions.Plays both an integration and influence role as a deep Payment expert to ensure horizontal / cross-business opportunities are identified, and influences lines of business on investments required to drive greater long-term payments maturity. This requires direct engagement with all TD subsidiaries and business lines, as well as the relevant business Journeys and Platforms.Define and report on enterprise metrics that will be reported on and used to measure success Development and management of Canadian payments partnership and acquisition strategy and roadmap. Deep Payments Expertise Lead team of deep Payments experts in providing insight and support to line of business partner efforts and maturing new strategic capabilities that drive incremental revenue to TD and support TD subsidiaries and lines of business.Align internal and external partners where strategic payments strategy and coordination need is high to chart out path to capitalize on TD strategic payment initiatives, capabilities and partnerships; coaching leaders on investment priorities and trade-offs required to accelerate maturation. Lead the team in developing new businesses around industry payments capabilities not currently at play or not currently mature in existing journeys.Influence TD to learn through direct engagement and experimentation.
Specific Educational Requirements:
·Undergraduate degree required; Post Graduate degree preferred
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
·Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
·Significant depth of payments experience and building maturity roadmaps in a variety of contexts
·Deep understanding of interactions within a payments value chain, ie. customers and clients across multiple use cases including C2C, B2C, B2B
·Robust knowledge of payments P&L drivers and a strong risk and control environment inclusive of emerging regulations across multiple jurisdictions
·Inquisitive, avid learner and comfortable with experimentation
·Highly effective communicator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees
·Proven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to develop and deploy a vision and align others to that vision. Creative thought leadership required while listening and engaging others to provide input in the shaping of vision
·Strong people management skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams
·Excellent relationship management skills, effectively supporting multiple complex relationships with a superior ability to make things happen using positive influence
·Expertise in working effectively in teams – requires a track record of working cross-organizationally and with multiple stakeholders at varying levels
·Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
