We are offering an employment opportunity in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The role is for an Internal Auditor with a focus on enhancing the quality of clinical services provided in the community. This job function entails basic auditing, invoice reconciliations, and ensuring checks and balances are maintained.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct basic audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in the delivery of clinical services.
• Perform invoice reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Implement checks and balances to maintain the integrity of financial processes.
• Ensure all audit steps are properly documented for future reference and compliance.
• Handle large sets of data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Utilize MS Office Suite and Excel for data management and analysis.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in reviewing invoices and conducting reconciliations.
• Exhibit a firm understanding of accounting functions, including comfortability with numbers.
• Utilize knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Audit Program, Business systems, and CobiT in performing tasks.
• Communicate audit findings effectively and assist in creating audit plans.
• Proven experience as an Internal Auditor within the healthcare/NHS industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Audit Programs.
• Strong knowledge of Business systems and CobiT.
• Experience in managing Accounting Functions.
• Excellent report-writing skills to document Audit Findings.
• Proficiency in Auditing and developing Audit Plans.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• A professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or similar is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare/NHS regulations and standards.
• Ability to travel as needed.
