Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive media innovation, through leveraging tactics that put our brands on the cutting-edge, driving leadership in our categories and for the organization Drive audience led strategies delivering enhanced brand performance and measured impact, across the full media to cart plan Drive increased impact of digital, retail media and emerging platforms, embracing a test and learn mentality Create and manage organizational governance of media principles and best practices while upskilling the organization on capabilities for media Ensure effectiveness of media through establishing and delivering select KPI’s in partnership with the Analytics organization Contribute to the growth of our brands by improving our marketing effectiveness Challenge our agencies, partners, marketing, and e-shopper teams to deliver integrated best-in class plans with the consumer at the center Partner with brand to build briefs rooted in the consumer and human problems to solve Identify opportunities for Joint Business Partnerships (JBPs) and strategic partnerships to help meet our effectiveness and efficiency goals (including retail-media JBPs) With support of the agency, govern the delivery of media plans, providing overall stewardship of media investments, plans and inventory Work with marketing to evolve our content strategies to maximize the moments of receptivity across the path to purchase, in line with the audience strategy Ensure our content is fit-for purpose across the tactics we invest in, specifically within digital Support the marketing team to coordinate across various agencies (PR, Influencer, Creative, etc.) and consult on integrated communication strategies Foster an environment of media evolution, learning and improvement. Assist in media capability training/education of marketing teamRequired Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing or Business preferred) Minimum 7+ years marketing, integrated marketing communication and/or connections/media planning and buying within Canada Demonstrated deep understanding of consumer goods category Agency experience highly desirable Experience in performance marketing, omnichannel brand strategy, digital, partnerships, and social media marketing across paid/owned/earned and shared desiredPreferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Leadership in setting strategic direction and innovation plans to solving marketing issues Is able to navigate ambiguous situations and drive for clarity and action Passion for innovation and desire to stay on cutting edge of media landscape Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment and financial acumen Proven track record of impacting business results Strong project management leadership skills Strong organizational and communication skills Excellent consulting skills and ability to influence effectively Respectfully challenging the status-quo as appropriate in order to achieve our objectives Entrepreneurial mindset who likes to build new processes and experiment Highly inquisitive with action-orientation mindset Confidence to make good, quick decisions based on sound judgment and strong analytical skills Leadership of cross-agency (eCommerce, PR/Influencer, Media, Creative and Commerce) resources against a defined scope of work Ability to develop deep collaborative relationships across multiple work groupsInclusion & Diversity
