Director of Sales – Utility Trailers

Brandt is currently looking for the Director of Sales – Utility Trailers in our Regina location. This position is responsible for developing, managing and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of Utility Trailers. The Director of Sales will be responsible to maximize overall sales, market share, and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Distribution Strategy for Utility Trailer product line.
- Collaborating with Sales Team in development and implementation of plans for growing Brandt sales with dealers.
- Aid the sales team in achieving Brandt’s product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledge
- Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales and dealer sales teams as scheduled.
- Research and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure Brandt’s pricing, programs and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.
- Identify product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.
- Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals
- Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as required
- Extensive travel throughout the region network sometimes alongside Brandt’s sales teams to actively support direct visits with Dealers and Trailer dealer contacts and their customers
- Establish a personal relationship with Dealers
- Ensure all Dealers are capable of handling the Brandt product utility trailer line
- Ensure Dealers are educated on all aspects of Brandt offerings
- Assist Dealers with any and all sales and marketing opportunities which could include advertising, demonstrations, field days, open hours
- Provide input into Sales Program Development
- Provide input into Product Development
- Assist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
- Keen ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement a strategic plan.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills are a must.
- Capable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.
- Team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.
Required Experience
- Must have a strong working product and industry knowledge of Utility Trailers.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in heavy construction and forestry equipment working with manufacturers and/or dealers.
- Excellent sales, marketing, and business development experience in equipment distribution.
- A recent drivers abstract will be required.
- Must be able to obtain or possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Keen ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement a strategic plan.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills are a must.
- Capable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.
- Team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.
