Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate and confidential administration of all aspects of payroll and related activities for the company well as administrative duties related to Human Resources/WSIB Claims/Health & Safety Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 hourly and salaried employees using the ADP payroll system, processing government remittances, garnishments etc.,
- Reconcile all payroll general ledger accounts to payroll registers on a monthly basis
- Maintain the HRIS system with accurate and current employee data
- Update and distribute departmental absentee/vacation reports
- Maintaining employee files and information
- Administration of WSIB claims on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Other administrative duties as needed for HR related inquires
- Other duties related to Production administration as required by management
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years Payroll administration experience with ADP/Time systems in a manufacturing environment is a requirement.
- Must have 2 – 5 years experience in WSIB claims administration
- Excellent knowledge of all payroll related Federal and Provincial Government workplace-related regulations including the Employment Standards Act of Ontario
- Post Secondary Education related to Payroll/Accounting from a recognized Canadian higher educational institute
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Fluency in Excel Spreadsheets, including macros is preferred
- Excellent Verbal and Written English is a requirement of this position
