Opportunity:

Are you exceptionally organized, can multi-task and think fast on your feet? Are you bilingual (French and English)? If so, Toromont CAT would like you to be a part of our Concord Facilities Team. Our facilities objectives are continuing to grow at a rapid pace and we need someone to assist with the improvements. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Management team with project coordination for the Concord site as well as assisting with the day-to-day requirements of the building operation, grounds and critical infrastructure including Security and Custodial services and other Administrative tasks. The candidate will also be responsible for facilitating communication with our French speaking teams for projects at our Quebec locations.

Monitor ongoing metrics and suggest areas for improvement Process and monitor day-to-day work requests from conception to completion Monitor Facility Expenses as well as Project related work Update project progress documentation and reports (MS Project) Assist with organizing, scheduling and overseeing the day-to day work for contractors and vendors. Assist with the coordination, monitoring and execution of Project work Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviours and objectives at all times in support if Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/Programs and best practices. Point contact for onsite third party Security Team Assist with implementation and maintain data management of the new CMMS system for both Ontario and Quebec locations Communicate the needs for Project and Facility Management teams between Ontario and Quebec locations

Requirements:

Bilingual French and English Post Secondary Education and/or experience in skilled trades or building operations. Experience in using virtual building management software. Knowledge of building systems; life safety, computer rooms, heavy equipment repair shop equipment, air compressors and HVAC systems Experience in virtual project management and contractor coordination. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail. Highly organized and able to multi-task. Ability to prioritize and deliver results in a timely manner while being adaptable to constant change in a fast paced environment. Results driven, self-starter, independent and a team player with strong initiative. Excellent computer proficiencies, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (MS Project is an asset).
