Compensation

Effective September 1, - $7,.48 per half course ( hours nominally)
Effective September 1, - $14,.95 per full course ( hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

The course instructor is responsible for organizing the course and presenting the lectures.  In addition, creating a course syllabus to be approved by the Chair of the Department.  Other duties as assigned by the Chair, Biological Sciences. Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a relevant doctoral degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including several years of professional experience in and knowledge of the grape and wine industry), experience teaching at the post-secondary level, and excellent communication and public relation skills.
