Requirements

Provide expert-level guidance as it relates to Nuvei’s bank partners’ rules and guidelines. Provide expert-level guidance as it relates to Nuvei’s regulators’ rules and guidelines. Assist the Director of Risk Management with definition, maintenance and consolidation of department policies across the globe, ensuring coherence and consistency across geographies. Provide expert feedback on Legal Opinions provided by merchants or third parties. Assist the Director of Risk Management in the definition, review and due diligence of third party provides and APMs. Act as occasional liaison between Nuvei and bank partners, regulators, schemes on strategic and/or verticals accounts. Track requests and complete all the necessary actions throughout the contract lifecycle. Review documents, provide commercial risk assessment, identify cost drivers and recommended customer-facing responses to contractual terms as well as risk situations. Review, draft and negotiate term sheets, commercial agreements, and amendments, ensuring that they accurately reflect the intent of the parties, are unambiguous, fair and reasonable. Coordinate and ensure that documents, policies, guidelines, processes, and agreements are approved at the appropriate level within the organization. Manage post-contract vendors, ensuring contractual risks are clearly documented and brought to senior management’s attention when necessary. Prepare, implement, and maintain corporate procedures for administration of the department and others as needed. Prepare, discuss, and lead contractual disputes and communications. Maintain diligent records and files of all vendor agreements, contract correspondence and commercial matters, as well as processes and guidelines. Interact directly with senior executives and provide guidance regarding bank and card-schemes’ rules as well as Nuvei’s risk exposure on different situations. Work on all aspects of audit preparations. Ensures Nuvei adheres to governmental, card brand, and sponsor bank regulatory requirements including merchant and agent underwriting, monitoring, data security, registration and oversight of new and existing relationships. Work with other departments including Risk, Underwriting, Recoveries, Business development, Finance, Marketing, IT, Legal and Partner Relations. Assist other departments with definition, review and improvements of guidelines and processes. Assist other departments with industry legality and regulation concerns. Act as the deputy of the Director of Global Risk Management when needed and in its absence. Ability to work varied schedules as needed to coordinate with teams across the globe. Special projects and other duties as assigned The candidate must minimally have a Law degree (Bachelor’s degree) or any other bachelor’s degree that could be relevant in risk management. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in risk management and compliance. Language Requirement: English Full-time employment - 40 hours per week Salary: 98-110k CAD (depending on experience and background)
