About the role

We’re looking for a Auto Appraisal Unit Claims Manager to join our growing team in Calgary

You will have an opportunity to manage the day to day operations of our Field Appraisal team. Your passion for coaching, development and engagement will help strengthen team connections, keep everyone motivated to deliver second-to-none experiences for our customers and inspire people to go above and beyond in everything they do.

What you'll do here:

Directs and coordinates the activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives of the repairs performed by the vendors, in accordance with Intact policies and in compliance with Intact standards and procedures. Act as a resource person by providing support to internal and external estimators and various Intact resources to answer their questions.  Provide technical oversight and guidance with a focus on indemnity and expense control, as well as, optimal customer experience Provide training and technical support to employees by keeping up to date on software and techniques used. Perform quality control of estimates produced by all in-house appraiser and body shops by ensuring compliance with policies and the application of standards and procedures, including those concerning customer service. Increase the efficiency of his sector by participating in the development of analyses and recommendations. Manage the activities of their team by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to the budget, while promoting teamwork. Support the teams of our trusted networks for complaints related to estimates. Participate in various existing committees in the field of estimation and be aware of industry techniques.


What you bring to the table:

College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 to 5 years of management, coaching and mentoring experience is an asset - preference is within a claims environment Knowledge of the appraisal process and software Experience and demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve organizational objectives. Project management and change management skills is an asset Ability to engage and mobilize a team Can build relationships based on trust and collaboration
