Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Nurse position in Dialysis.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
- Current BLS is required.
- Current Hemodialysis experience is considered an asset.
- ICCU or Emergency experience considered an asset.
- Minimum one (1) year recent medical/surgical experience is preferred.
- Nephrology experience and /or completion of the Nephrology certificate preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function as an independent primary nurse.
- Demonstrated good computer skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction with ability to work in a geographically independent environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development and continuing education.
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within team to contribute to a positive work life.
- Is cognizant of emotions and experiences of others while communicating with patient families and team members.
- Able to recognize the importance of managing your emotions and the impact that it has on team morale and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Other pertinent conditions:
- Salary per the ONA collective agreement ($39.07 per hour to $56.00 per hour)
If there are insufficient qualified candidates with the preferred Nephrology experience and /or completion of the Nephrology certificate, candidates who commit to completing the Certificate within one year may be considered. Candidates who are considered without the preferred Nephrology experience and /or completion of the Nephrology certificate will be required to attend training at London Health Sciences Centre and must provide their own transportation to the training site.
