Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
- Operating Room Nurse Certificate from a recognized program or equivalent is required (Applicants currently enrolled and actively pursuing this certification may be considered).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
- One (1) year operating room experience within the last five (5) years is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative patient care.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing/continuous professional development.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions and changing demands.
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within a team to contribute to a positive work life.
- Is cognizant of emotions and experience of others while communicating with patient, families and team members.
- Able to recognize the importance of managing your emotions and the impact that it had on team morale and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Other pertinent conditions:
- Must be available to work all shifts as required including days, evenings, overnights, weekends and statutory holidays. Hours of work are subject to change.
- Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($37.23 per hour to $37.94 per hour)
