Elevate E-Learning Programs with your
Instructional Design Excellence
CPA Ontario is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to enrich our digital learning experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop compelling e-learning content, assist with video production, and ensure the highest quality instructional materials. We are looking for a candidate with a robust background in instructional design, proficiency in e-learning tools, and experience in creating engaging and accessible content.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Collaborating and Gathering Content: Working with the CPA Ontario product development officer, subject matter experts, and instructors to define learning objectives and gathering essential content for instructional design projects.
Guiding and Supporting Training: Providing expert guidance to trainers and facilitators on instructional design strategies, delivery methods, and best practices to ensure effective and engaging training experiences.
Designing and Developing E-Learning Materials: Creating compelling storyboards, e-learning modules, assessments, and e-learning widgets using dominKnow authoring tools, and uploading the final products to the Blackboard learning management system.
Producing and Editing Videos: Coaching and directing instructors and subject matter experts during video shoots using platforms such as Riverside, Vimeo, and Camtasia. Adding branded content and editing videos to meet e-learning and promotional material specifications.
Ensuring Quality and Accessibility: Conducting thorough quality assurance reviews of instructional materials to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and adherence to instructional design and AODA standards and guidelines.
Who You Are:
Equipped with a post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in educational technology, ideally a bachelor's degree in instructional design or deep practical experience recognized certifications in e-learning development and instructional design.
Experienced Professional with 2-5 years of expertise in instructional design and training development, ideally within a corporate environment.
Tech-Savvy Designer that is proficient in e-learning authoring tools like dominKnow or Articulate RISE, familiar with LMS platforms such as Blackboard, and skilled in Microsoft Office.
An Effective written and verbal communicator, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and concisely, with meticulous attention to detail.
Innovative Problem Solver with a strong grasp of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning theories, with added skills in graphic design and video editing being a plus.
