Our ed-tech client is looking for an Instructional Designer Producer to join their team This candidate will lead all instructional design activities of their staff and external vendors. The selected candidate will set their instructional design vision and provide daily direction to team members related to the design, construction, deployment and evaluation of online learning assets. The selected candidate recommends instructional design approaches, sets targets, evaluates deliverables and reports on project progress.

The ideal candidate is familiar with instructional design methodologies and promotes innovation and best practices in the development of online courses and test items.The Instructional Design Producer is responsible for curating instructional assets for professional license certification programs as well as for developing new instructional content across multiple industries. The selected candidate protects the integrity of our academic programs through test security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and manage initiatives according to our project methodology
  • Perform functions such as project management, program management, and resource planning and budgeting
  • Manage multiple projects and multiple client relationships concurrently
  • Ensure that projects meet expectations regarding schedule, budget, scope and quality through metrics and benchmarking
  • Provide clear written instructions for staff and vendors
  • Effectively communicate issues and recommend strategies and tactics
  • Engage and manage subject matter experts
  • Curate instructional design assets
  • Plan projects and generate reports and data
  • Facilitate teams, including group problem solving and/or process improvement work
  • Assist in evaluating and developing learning management solutions
  • Analyze target audience and learner needs
  • Apply adult learning principles to learning solutions projects
  • Design creative, interactive, and instructionally sound training solutions (Instructor-Led and eLearning)
  • Supervise the development of content outlines and multimedia scripts and storyboards for course developers for a variety of topics
  • Define and develop systems for efficient development of technology-based training modules
  • Define technical approach to learning solutions projects
  • Manage project teams of instructional designers, translators, eLearning coordinators, and developers to deliver online and blended learning programs, and oversee project budgets and timelines
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct technical issues with development
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience

  • Minimum five years experience managing ID projects
  • Degree, diploma or certificate related to instructional design and/or project management
  • Experience managing instructional assets on a learning management system
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
  • Fluency in French is an asset
  • Experience evaluating instructional design deliverables
  • Storyline experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with MS Office and/or Google Suite products
  • ● Experience in LMS (Moodle) is an asset.
