Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Royal Alexandra/Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Child & Adolescent Mental Health Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides clerical support, receptionist duties and other related duties for the patient care unit to ensure efficient operation of unit activities. Coordinates confidential information and records relating to activities, communication, patient services and unit operations. Clerical duties may include receiving internal and external phone calls, receiving and sorting mail, maintenance of electronic charts, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, preparing schedules and sending/receiving faxes. The incumbent works cooperatively with other administrative assistants to assist with varying workloads throughout the day.This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary secretarial/administrative diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology required. Strong computer skills. Excellent planning, organizational, time management and customer services skills are required. Physically able to lift 11 kg and walk frequently between areas. The children and youth who attend these programs experience significant mental health and/or behavior issues who may demonstrate anger and/or anxiety. Ability to work in a noisy environment is essential.
