Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM firm. We are a market leader in oil and gas processing specializing in facilities design, implementation and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional and heavy oil projects. Our clients include several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide, and we are currently executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facility and pipeline projects.

Summary:
Equinox Engineering is looking for a Int - Sr. Expeditor - Buyer in a fast paced project setting.  The position will require a qualified person who is flexible, has the ability to multitask, and is able to work with tight deadlines.  The successful candidate will work closely with vendors, contractors, Project Engineers and Equinox clients to procure goods and services for our Projects.

Key Responsibilities • Execute the procurement cycle including development of bids lists, request for quotations, bid evaluations, award of goods and services
 • Contract bid preparation, quotation, evaluation and award
 • Adhere to procurement procedures and execution plans
 • Act as liaison between vendors, engineering and client supply chain management teams
 • Provided assistance as required for transportation and logistics, material management and tracking
 • Maintain schedule and milestones for procurement deliverables and update report for client
 • Identify long lead items and hard to source items to project team
 • Act as liaison between vendors and Equinox with regards to vendor clarifications technical and commercial received and expedited internally
 • Maintain a high level of ethical conduct when dealing with our suppliers
 • Attends purchasing /project meetings

Key Skills & Abilities • Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills.
 • Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry.
 • Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
 • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
 • Heavy oil project experience including SAGD, CSS, Steam and emulsion pipelines and well pads is advantageous.

Education & Qualifications  • 7 - 15 years related EPCM experience in material procurement and/or supply chain.  Pipeline and Facility experience is valued.
 • Demonstrated ability in Vendor Management Practices.
 • Clear and concise interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
