The Opportunity

Our Project Evaluations team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Houston or Calgary to support North American natural gas growth capital initiatives.

We are seeking a Lead Financial Analyst who has knowledge and experience in advanced financial modeling. This individual has proven skills, financial acumen, and capacity to lead capital project analysis from idea generation through the approval process. Modeling opportunities will include large growth projects across three North American regulatory jurisdictions. 

What you’ll do

Work in Excel, performing advanced financial modeling, including pro formas, valuation, EPS accretion/dilution, credit metrics, etc. Collaborate with Business Development to accurately model new opportunities aligned to commercial agreements within an existing regulatory framework Assist in the preparation of corporate project approval materials as part of a broad team of experts Provide financial analysis and guidance to all levels of the organization, while building a strong internal network with stakeholders across accounting, legal, operations, and commercial

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in finance, business, mathematics, or other related fields 5+ years of relevant experience Excel skills, including use of complex formulas Understanding key components of financial statements Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain collaborative relationships

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CFA, or CPA designation Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts FERC, CER, CRE, or other utility experience from a commercial or regulatory perspective Successfully complete pre-employment and Criminal background checks
