Position Summary:
  • Prepare and compile comprehensive financial statements and accompanying disclosures for both Canadian and US legal entities, ensuring adherence to IFRS regulations.
  • Engage with various Business Units and the Tax department to facilitate the preparation of financial statements.
  • Participate in the audit processes of legal entity statements conducted by external auditors.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies while exploring avenues for process enhancements, including the transition of financial statements to Workiva.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Research to promptly address reporting and disclosure matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of tax step memos as necessary.
  • Undertake additional reporting responsibilities and project participation as required.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a CPA Designation is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited University, ideally in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Proven excellence in business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance post-CPA.
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS standards.
  • Strong familiarity with the oil and gas sector.
