Edmonton Exchanger offers a wide range of products and services for applications in various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation. As an industry leader in custom steel fabrication, Edmonton Exchanger has some of the largest steel-forming capacities to produce pressure vessel components.

We are searching for an energetic, self-motivated individual looking to begin an exciting and challenging career as an industry leader. An entry level position is available to work in a positive, high-energy sales environment.

Reporting Relationships

Report directly to the Sales Manager.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountability

Promoting the prefabricated product lines, including steel pressure vessel components (heads, shells, and repads), plates, discs, and rings. Quote phone and e-mail inquiries from clients. Performing follow-ups on quotes. Business Development. Negotiating contracts (price, delivery, etc.) / Obtaining POs. Order entry (includes billing copy, production control sheets, and PO for subcontracting) for the plant. Expediting critical orders through the shop. Limited Travel for sales calls to our customer base. Travel will be in the USA and Canada.

Teamwork – Promotes and enables cooperation and commitment throughout the EDEX; positively affects morale; facilitates/builds understanding, acceptance and support for EDEX goals and initiatives; fosters a “team” culture. Stakeholder Relationship Building—U nderstands external and internal customer needs and expectations; focuses on providing optimal service; solicits feedback and responds in accordance with EDEX’s image and professionalism. Educational/Experience Advantages

Relevant Post-Secondary Education (Material Engineering Technology / Certified Engineering Technologist / Business Degree), an asset but not a mandatory requirement Welding and/or fabrication shop experience is an asset but not a mandatory requirement Capable of reading construction drawings & performing extensive mathematical calculations Sales experience PC computer background
