The Maintenance 2 Ambassador will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by attending to general hotel maintenance requests and providing superior customer service to guests while completing tasks and fostering and maintaining Occupational Health & Safety standards for the hotel.


Responsibilities:
• To provide superior customer service and specialized services to Maintenance
• Performs moderately complex tasks in area of specialty, such as general repair and maintenance of the property, reporting all health, safety, and security problems, and ensuring all tools are kept in good working order and stored properly
• Adheres to Coast Hotels’ quality and industry standards when completing tasks
• Handles complaints and concerns where possible and appropriate • Reports inventory levels to Maintenance Supervisor
• Follows established Occupational Health & Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks
• Ensures the security of the property, the Ambassadors and guests when completing tasks
• Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude with ambassadors and guests
• Other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
• Secondary school diploma required
• Minimum 2 years related work experience
• Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and processes needed to perform work
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Physical mobility and stamina
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the products and facility in area of expertise
• Ability to deal with high pressure environments
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) training an asset
• General maintenance and building trade experience an asset
• Registration in an apprenticeship program an asset
