Maintenance Team Lead

Avon Building Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of maintenance workers and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our grounds, including landscaping and hardscaping.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Estimate the resources required for each project and ensure that all necessary materials are ordered in a timely manner.
- Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other projects, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of all maintenance tasks, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues that arise.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Order all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies in a timely manner.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot any issues that arise and provide technical advice to team members to improve productivity and product quality.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) Certification: Possess a certification from the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association.
- Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records.
- Standing for Extended Periods: Be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- 2 Years to Less Than 3 Years: Have at least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
