Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Recruit, oversee, and organize the work schedules of maintenance personnel.
- Project Planning: Develop and implement plans for grounds upkeep and improvement.
- Resource Management: Assess and estimate the labor and materials required for various projects.
- Construction Oversight: Direct the construction of outdoor structures such as decks and retaining walls.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all tools and machinery are in good working condition.
- Procurement: Order necessary materials and supplies for maintenance tasks.
- Problem Resolution: Address work-related issues, providing expert advice to enhance productivity and quality.
- Schedule Development: Establish effective work schedules and procedures for the team.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Certification: Possession of Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years and up to 3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods. The work schedule is set for 32 hours per week, providing a stable and consistent work environment.
