The Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail oriented, and ambitious email marketer. This position is responsible for supporting various marketing and communications programs, campaigns, initiatives, and day-to-day marketing activities of both B2B and B2C audiences. This position works closely with the Marketing Team and other departments to execute on email initiatives.The Email Marketing and Automation Specialist is expected to have a solid understanding of email marketing best practices and trends in their area of expertise. They work closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure there is a strategic integration between all digital media. Responsible for creating, executing, and managing consumer and business focused email marketing initiatives and campaigns including analytics and reporting activities. They manage and maintain email marketing schedules and calendars for the business. Marketing Campaigns Support the implementation of marketing strategy through planning and implementation of email marketing campaigns and projects Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and manage email deployments Support the delivery of analytics for campaigns Work with senior Marketing team members to summarize key results and analytics for campaigns and projects Assist in the identification of marketing opportunities Internal and External Communications Assist in the execution of Marketing annual objectives Ensure communications are clear, consistent, appropriately branded, and follow brand standards Email Marketing Accountable for the execution of emails on a day-to-day basis Support the email marketing strategies using industry best practices and ensure timely execution of email marketing initiatives (B2C and B2B) Maintain cadence based on established delivery times, manage email deployment calendar and coordinate communication for email campaigns Work with the in-house creative team and content writer to co-ordinate production of email design, subject lines, and copy Create and maintain internal process documents List management and report creation in Marketing Cloud Provide support to analyze ad hoc emails and email campaign results, issues, and opportunities. Adjust various aspects of email to improve results Work closely with the Email Marketing and Automation Lead to create efficiencies and automation for email campaigns General Support Backup of general administrative support, including management of the communication inbox Marketing Processes and Standards Comply with marketing standards and follow set processes for routine work Assist with the development of marketing processes Contribute ideas for improving email marketing standards and processes

What You Bring To The Team 

A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in an email marketing role Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required, including Email Studio and dynamic content Experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and CloudPages Good understanding of marketing campaign management Knowledge of mortgage industry and mortgage brokering in Canada would be an asset Basic knowledge of AMPscript & SQL is a must have Experience in financial services, insurance, investments, or related field would be an asset Experience with email marketing and digital communication Strong knowledge of best practices for email deployment practices, data, analytics, segmentation, list management, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, etc. Solid experience with survey tools: use, integration with emails, landing pages, and complex results analysis Strong internet, Excel, email, and electronic document management skills Proficient data management and excel skills Understands email regulations and privacy rules with a solid understanding of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) Effective planning and time management skills A proactive and ambitious marketer who enjoys developing new solutions to challenging problems Analytical and problem-solving skills Excited about data and finding useful nuggets of information to make smart marketing decisions Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing campaigns Knowledge of professional communications and marketing principles Ability to maintain confidentiality on all sensitive matters Enthusiastic, creative, and experienced in working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong attention to detail Ability to interact with a wide range of internal and external contacts Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service skills Self-driven, motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Carries out duties with integrity and takes responsibility for actions Desire to learn and succeed Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines University Degree in marketing, communications, computer science or related field
