PROJECT TECHNICIAN – ENGINEERING LAB

We are currently seeking a Project Technician in Montreal. This position will be part of our Engineering team reporting directly to our Engineering Laboratory Manager. The ideal candidate will be an important member of our team and will manage testing, documentation, and will support various Engineering projects from start to finish. RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assist the new Product Development projects through Stage Gate Process from concept to mass production Perform research, analysis and documentation of mechanical, electronics & electromechanics components Develop, execute and transfer tests protocols to the product tests and validation teams Participate in the development and validation of new products, components and test benchmarking Use electronic measurement equipment (ex: Oscilloscope, Communication, Multimeter…) Generate test reports in English Design basic prototypes schematic and electrical wiring diagrams Participate in product design review for integration of electronic technologies projects Work with the team to scrutinize all technical data/testing analysis and results with the end consumer in mind – identifying overall risks and developing countermeasures to mitigate these risks while maintaining the intent of the project/product Help conduct quality investigations and make recommendations for solutions and improvements to product and processes Assist with departmental administrative tasks and follow up as needed to stay on track and remain accountable for objectives

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering and Research and Development environment Technician graduate diploma in electronic or mechanical or equivalent Bilingual French/ English (written and spoken); a plus Experience in electronic PCBA integration within end products General knowledge in Simultaneous (concurrent) Engineering approach and PDP (Product Development process) a plus Knowledge of CAD design tools (3D, 2D, PCB and Gerber) a plus Knowledge in Kitchen appliances products a plus Experiences in a manufacturing environment a plus Prior experience working with retailers and/or consumer goods a plus Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio,) Knowledge of LabView software a plus

TECHNICIEN DE PROJET – LABORATOIRE D’INGÉNIERIE 

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un technicien de projet à Montréal. Le candidat fera partie de notre équipe d’ingénierie relevant directement de notre gestionnaire de laboratoire d’ingénierie. Le candidat idéal sera un membre important de notre équipe et gérera des tests, de la documentation et soutiendra divers projets d’ingénierie du début à la fin. RESPONSABILITÉS :

Participer aux projets de développement de produits et aux processus « stage gate » Générer des recherches, des analyses et de la documentation sur les composants mécaniques, électroniques et électromécaniques Développer, exécuter et transférer des protocoles de tests aux équipes de tests et de validation des produits Participer au développement et à la validation de nouveaux produits, composants et de banc d’essai Utiliser des équipements de mesure électronique (ex: Oscilloscope, Communication, Multimètre ...) Générer des rapports de tests en anglais Concevoir des prototypes, schématiques et des schémas de câblage électriques Participer à des revues de conception des produits et intégration de projets technologique électroniques Travailler avec l’équipe pour évaluer les données techniques / l’analyse des tests et les résultats en gardant à l’esprit le clients finaux - en identifiant les risques globaux et en élaborant des contre-mesures pour atténuer ces risques tout en maintenant l’intention du projet / produits Aider à évaluations de qualité de produits et faire des recommandations pour des solutions et des améliorations aux produits et aux processus Aider aux tâches de documentation et assurer le suivi au besoin pour rester sur la bonne voie et rester responsable des objectifs

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :

Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en environnement ingénierie et recherche et développement Diplôme d’études technicien électronique ou mécanique ou l’équivalent Expérience dans l’intégration de PCBA électronique dans les produits finaux Bilingue français/anglais (écrit et parlé); un atout Connaissances générales en approche d’ingénierie simultanée (simultanée) et PDP (processus de développement de produits), un atout Connaissance des outils de conception CAO (3D, 2D, PCB et Gerber), un atout Connaissance des produits d’électroménagers de cuisine, un atout Expériences dans un environnement de fabrication, un atout Expérience antérieure de travail avec des détaillants et / ou des biens de consommation un plus Connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio,) Connaissance du logiciel LabView, un atout
