POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Controller is responsible for the entire accounting cycle of a project and for ensuring that the project’s financial goals are met. He/she provides all financial information required for the project, including account management and financial reporting to lenders.

REPORTING

The Project Controller reports to the Project Director. He/she may be responsible for several projects simultaneously.One or two accounting technicians report directly to the Project Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Implement all required financial controls to monitor the cost against the budget.

·Ensure the systematic and efficient management of financial information for a rigorous control of budgets and costs.

·Establish project budgets and estimates and keep data up to date.

·Manage the project's financial services.

·Coordinate and review month-end financial reports to ensure information integrity and accuracy.

·Supervise and participate in the production of financial statements.

·Coordinate the relationship between management and financial institutions.

·In collaboration with the project team, prepare budgets and forecasts and perform risk analysis.

·Prepare audit files.

·Produce various monthly reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

·CPA designation

EXPERIENCE

·7-10 years of relevant experience

·Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word

·Working knowledge of JD Edwards and SAP is an asset

LANGUAGE

·Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.

Available to work on-call according to a pre-determined schedule to respond to emergency calls outsideregular hours and to travel occasionally to other sites based on project needs or requests for support.
