Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Information Technology Support Technician to ensure the availability and performance of information technology resources and to provide hardware and software support for all technologies used by the Board. A post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field and experience working an an information technology support role is required for the position.

The successful candidate also requires extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of Mac and Windows platforms, iPads, Chromebooks, peripherals and managed wireless networks. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a highly contributory member of a team. Must have demonstrated trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide user documentation, remote support and one-one-one training to staff.

Due to the travel requirements of the position, the successful candidate must possess an Ontario driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
