Summary:

The Manager, Total Rewards, is integral to developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with our clients’ total rewards strategy. This role covers all aspects of total rewards, including short- and long-term incentives, share-based compensation, sales compensation, and benefits, ensuring these programs effectively attract and retain talent while driving high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR and Business Leaders: Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide expert compensation advice.
  • Review Compensation Practices: Identify opportunities and support the continuous evaluation of compensation practices to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, market best practices, and legislative requirements.
  • Communicate Compensation Programs: Clearly explain compensation programs and policies to ensure HR Business Partners and leaders understand their financial and human capital impact.
  • Lead Benchmarking Reviews: Oversee the annual benchmarking review process, including survey participation, market data analysis, and development of presentation materials for recommendations.
  • Design Compensation Plans: Analyze and interpret compensation data to design effective compensation plans, including salary and incentive structures.
  • Transform Data and Processes: Support the integration of compensation-related data, processes, and analytics into Workday and contribute to ongoing business process improvements.
  • Stay Informed on Market Trends: Develop and maintain a network to stay informed about market and industry trends in compensation.
  • Manage Total Rewards Projects: Lead and support various Total Rewards projects and operations.

What You Bring:

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive compensation experience, with a preference for experience in the financial services industry and familiarity with sales compensation.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to simplify complex problems for communication and make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Excel Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Excel, including complex modeling and creating presentations for senior leaders.
  • Financial Modeling Skills: Strong numeric and financial modeling skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to connect reward recommendations to the broader organizational strategy.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Certifications: CCP designation (or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Workday and Shareworks Solium is considered an asset.
