Position Summary:

The Physiotherapist is responsible for provision of direct client services including consultation, assessment and treatment. Responsible for participation in departmental, program and corporate professional activities and supportive of direct services and corporate objectives. The incumbent is responsible for delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations to the members of the home department of Specialized Neurologic and Complex Rehab Outpatient Clinic. This position will also help with potential coverage in all ambulatory programs including Rehab Outreach & Inpatient General Rehab departments. The Physiotherapist complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

ü License to practice Physical Therapy in Ontario - required

ü Bachelors degree or equivalent on Physical Therapy – required

ü Relevant internship/educational placement experience - required

ü Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association - required

ü Excellent organizational skills

ü Valid Ontario Driver’s License with the use of a car and insurance.

ü Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ü Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team

ü Commitment to standards of excellence and the concept of accountability

ü Committed to the values of the organization

ü French Language proficiency is an asset
