Physiotherapist Position at Nova Scotia Health
A Physiotherapist is required to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a community healthcare setting, collaborating with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives.
About the OpportunityThe Physiotherapist will work in a dynamic team environment, assessing and treating patients with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
The Physiotherapist will educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.
The Physiotherapist will provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of Physiotherapy Assistants.
About You- Graduation from a university with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- Continuing education course in the area of orthopedics is an asset
- Maintain current certification in CPR
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset
- Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
- $42.89 Hourly
