About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist plays a vital role in our community healthcare team, collaborating with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participating in the evaluation of team effectiveness, solving problems, and sharing responsibilities.

As a member of our clinical team, the Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

The Physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.

The Physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of Physiotherapy Assistants.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from a university with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Continuing education course in the area of orthopedics is an asset
  • Maintain current certification in CPR
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

Hours and Compensation

This is a Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly, with a competitive hourly rate of $42.89.
