Select is working with our transportation client in Claresholm, AB, in their search for a Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Are you someone who is highly organized, proactive, takes the initiative and enjoys a fast-paced environment? Apply now Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for:  
  • Growing and maintaining established customer base by creating strong, lasting, and trustworthy relationships
  • Manage milage while following Federal and Provincial Hours of Service 
  • Working with Human Resources and the Safety Department to manage fleet requirements
  • Maintaining levels of profit established by management 
  • Answering incoming/outgoing inquiries 
  • Data entry, ensuring accurate records, and filing
  • Holding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness at the highest regard
  • Plan, monitor, and maintain permits for oversized loads including pilot cars
 Required Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to relocate to Claresholm (or within a reasonable radius)
  • A minimum of 4 years dispatch/fleet management experience
  • Strong understanding of cross-border shipping regulations and compliance
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Proficient in using dispatch and fleet management software
  • Inquisitive, logical, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Office, & Outlook
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or administrative assistant role
 Education & Experience:
  • Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain solutions an asset but not required depending on years of experience
  • A minimum of 4 years dispatch/fleet management experience
  • Federal and Provincial Hours of Service and ELD knowledge
  • Certifications related to logistics or fleet management are a plus

 Compensation & Hours:  
  • The wage is expected to be $60K/year 
  • Health benefits after 3 months
