Fleet Manager, Transportation

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to join our team at Select People Solutions. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reports to management.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Supervise a team of over 20 people and provide guidance and support to ensure successful execution of tasks.
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and track goods in transit to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue to drive business growth.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to optimize fleet performance.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
