Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Desk Adjuster Level 1 to join our Inside Claims Commercial Lines team in Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle commercial and personal lines claims on the desktop using a variety of techniques and systems. The candidate will direct field adjusters on a task basis as required. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files.

Requirements

2 years of technical experience in an insurance claims environment, Post-secondary education in an insurance related field working towards full license and CIP designation Knowledge of commercial and personal lines in both Property and Auto PD will be considered an asset Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party commercial lines claims Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10 Excellent communication skills Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service Licensed in multiple provinces including Alberta and British Columbia or if unlicensed, the ability to obtain license preferred. French/English Bilingualism would be considered an asset
