POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and evaluating the activities of the IT department, and acting as a consultant, helping senior management and departments to manage IT systems strategically and operationally.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS WILL BE:
  • Develop and maintain the IT department's operational and strategic plan, overseeing all activities;
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, development, supervision, performance evaluation, and absenteeism;
  • Identify IT needs and recommend resource allocation;
  • Oversee the Board's IT infrastructure to meet current and future data, equipment, and network requirements;
  • Implement procedures, standards, and policies for efficient data processing services;
  • Provide strategic direction for IT infrastructure planning to meet the evolving needs in an organizational context;
  • Act as a resource person for users;
  • Analyze and develop the organization's applications;
  • Assume responsibility for data management and programming;
  • Support the organization in the use of new technologies in the workplace;
  • Manage computer security systems;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
  • Bachelor's degree in administration with a specialization in information technology or a related field;
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in project and personnel management;
  • Knowledge of application development;
  • Advanced mastery of Google Suite, including Gmail and Drive;
  • Strong interest in the latest trends in digital transformation and new technologies, and their application to organizational development and support;
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French and English.
