Reporting to the Director, Pursuits, the Co-Op Student, Pursuits is a member of the Client Development group. The individual will support the Pursuits team in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of proposal materials. The Co-Op Student will provide support through a broad range of duties, including proofreading proposals, assisting with the drafting of lawyer bios, and monitoring the lifecycle of a proposal using Salesforce.

We are seeking a Co-Op Student for the fall term, 4-8 month contract. 

Major Responsibilities:

Assist the Pursuits team in the assembly and production of proposals and credentials packages Coordinate RFP/credentials tracking process in Salesforce Monitor procurement websites, ensuring RFP addendums are distributed on a timely basis Use Salesforce to update opportunities and run custom reports Learn the pursuit/business development life cycle by supporting follow up on open opportunities Learn how lawyers practices can be versatile and diverse, and gain a better understanding of how the various practice areas overlap by supporting customized bio development, collection, and filing Learn the creative process by working with Pursuits team to develop new templates Exercise writing and editing skills by supporting the development of new content for the content library and proofreading proposals as needed Develop research skills by conducting background research on prospective clients during the pitch lifecycle, including industry-specific information

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

Currently enrolled in university or college. Some experience in the professional services industry is a benefit.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong, demonstrable, skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Extremely well organized with superb attention to detail and excellent time management skills Document design and assembly experience is a benefit An ability to develop and maintain sound and cordial working relationships Pro-active thinker with the ability and willingness to learn Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours in a hybrid environment as required A team player who also works well independently

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week
