**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Manager, Support Services the IT Student will work on a key project for the Information Management Department to implement an Asset Management Inventory Software Solution. The student will be responsible for identifying and tagging physical assets, ensuring these assets are setup in the system. Learning how to use the software and supporting the development of staff training material.

**Responsibilities**
- Locate untagged assets, and affix asset tags to those assets
- Record asset information in an inventory management system for new assets
- Update existing asset records with new information
- Set up and configure equipment for use and perform proper installation of equipment, cables, operating system, and software.
- Create, maintain, and update technical knowledge base and technical documentation.
- Continuous learning of IM services and technologies used.
- Ensure policies set in place by the Information Management team are maintained and abided by.
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions to the appropriate internal team.

**Qualifications**
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Able to work cooperatively and collaborate with other team members
- Good understanding of computer systems and mobile devices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues
- Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, and Active Directory
- Basic network skills, switches, cabling setup, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN
- Vaccines (COVID-19) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code_
