Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Assistant Team Leader at our Agro location in Shellbrook, SK.

Reporting to the Agro Centre Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a different in members’ lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Leadership and direction of Team Members in a dynamic fast paced retail store setting
• Support and lead team members in all areas including logistics, manufacturing, and member services
• Sales of feed, agriculture equipment, farm supplies, lubricants, fertilizer, crop supplies and energy products
• Supervision and direction of delivery, receiving and organizing of agriculture equipment and supplies
• Organization and care of warehouse facilities to ensure all regulatory requirements are being met
• Assist team members in safe work procedures ensuring compliance with safety standards and guidelines, be a driving force behind a culture of safety first and Mission Zero
• Ensure administration procedures for receiving, ordering, and stock control are being followed and systems are being utilized as per best practice guidelines
• Provide over the counter support to customer and team members to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Who you are:
You are looking for a leadership opportunity in Retail Store Operations and Agriculture and:
• You have 5+ years of relevant experience in the agriculture and/or retail industry, with sales, customer service, and leadership experience; Co-operative Retailing System experience is an asset
• You have a passion for retail sales and all aspects of the agriculture industry
• A degree or diploma in agriculture, business management, business operations, or a related field is an asset
• Knowledge of the agricultural industry including livestock feeds, grain handling and storage, agro equipment
• You are savvy with databases and Microsoft Office Suite and are or can become an expert at various point-of-sale systems and their reporting analytics capabilities
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
• You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
• You must possess at least a valid Class 5 driver’s license; a 1A or 3A license and Ag designation(s) are an asset
• You possess a strong work ethic, understand the concept of “full service,” and are willing to work additional hours during seasonal peaks
