What You’ll Do:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels
• Lead a culture of safety and maximize operational efficiency
• Assist with effectively leading, coaching, and managing the development and direction of the reporting team members
• Assist in overseeing the sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and sales of the store
• Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise, as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards
• Be familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies, such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, lottery, liquor, and fireworks
• Complete all necessary daily reports as needed, including daily cash up and reconciliations
• Perform minor repairs to assets, as required
• Complete other duties, as required

Who You’ll Work With: Reporting to the C-Store Team Leader, you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead a fun and enthusiastic team to cultivate a culture of collaboration.

Who You Are: 
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
• You have a grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience; retail sales supervisory experience and Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) experience are preferred 
• You have experience with C-Store/Gas Bar/liquor operations and general merchandise items
• You have strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to successfully motivate and work with team members
• You’re honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do
• You’re able strategically plan and organize both your own tasks and those of your team, delegating tasks when necessary
• You have Point of Sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
• You have strong attention to detail and strong cash management skills 
• You must be willing to obtain propane dispenser, WHMIS, and Serve it Right certifications 
• You are available for day travel within the Lake Country Co-op trading area to attend seminars, meetings, training 
programs, and other events
• You have a valid Class 5 license 
• You are 19 years of age or older 
• You have the ability to fulfill the physical job requirements – manual labour is required
• You have a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
