Responsibilities
Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Oversee and guide the continuous improvement team in identifying and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Oversee the evaluation and implementation of new equipment, ensuring alignment with operational standards and requirements.
Ensure the development, revision, and compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all operational areas.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of implemented initiatives.
Guide the design and optimization of station layouts and standard processes to support operational growth and efficiency.
Team development
Create and execute comprehensive improvement strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring sustainable operational excellence.
Manage and mentor Continuous Improvement Specialists, providing coaching and support to enhance their skills and drive team performance.
Collaborate with departments such as Sales, IT, Product Development, and Operations to foster integrated approaches to process improvement.
Provide regular updates to Operational Excellence director on progress, challenges, and successes of continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote Lean Culture
Be an ambassador for Lean culture within the organization, training teams on Lean principles and encouraging their adoption.
Organize and lead Kaizen events to promote a culture of continuous improvement and engage teams in identifying solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
10 years of experience in operations or continuous improvement roles, preferably in the logistics sector.
Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred).
Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements
Willingness to travel to various stations across Canada.
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle required.
Bilingual in French and English, with a strong command of both languages.
