**Key Responsibilities:**
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will provide technical support for printed and laminated products, working closely with operations teams to optimize printing and lamination processes, reduce production costs and scrap, and maximize equipment efficiency.
Specific Tasks:
- Develop and implement waste reduction projects.
- Improve product performance by proposing and supporting changes in manufacturing processes to reduce production costs.
- Participate in the design of work procedures for lamination presses and equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement workgroups with stakeholders.
- Support management in engineering processes and equipment efficiency.
- Identify and provide solutions to recurring problems that lead to non-conformance or loss of production and efficiency.
- Maintain equipment in optimum condition and identify critical parts.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or chemical engineering degree or a technical degree with 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, MRP, and/or experience with Six Sigma.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
- Organized, results-oriented, and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of mechanical controls an asset.
