In your role, you will

Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees. Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives. Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product. Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them. Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc. Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner. Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector. Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process. Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress. Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.  Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values ​​of Bombardier.  Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.

As a Leader, Operations at Bombardier, reporting to the Operations Director, you are responsible for managing unionized employees. Your role requires acting as a coach, a communicator, and a leader.

As our ideal candidate

You have a diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or a related field (aeronautics an asset). You have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment. You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved. You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel. You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments. You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment. You are proficient in French (bilingualism an asset). You are flexible to work different shifts if required.
