The Clerkof theWorksis responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager or ProjectManager in ensuring the quality of materials and workmanship duringthe construction phase of projects. This role involves detailedinspections monitoring construction activities and ensuring thatall work aligns with the design specifications standards andproject goals particularly in Northern infrastructure projects. TheCoW plays a crucial role in representing the clients interestsadvising on potential issues and ensuring that constructionprogresses according to the agreed schedule and qualityrequirements.

Responsibilities
Perform rigorous and detailed inspection of materials andworkmanship of construction throughout the constructionphase
Travel to remote communities for extendeddurations
Assist the assigned Senior Project Manager or Project Manager withconstruction inspections and production of reports asrequired
Report all occurrences that are relevant to therole
As directed by the PM be on site full time or making regular visitsand documenting such visits on a weekly monthly or asneededbasis.
Making sure that work is carried out to the design standardsspecification correct materials workmanship andschedule
Becoming familiar with all the relevant drawings and writteninstructions checking them and using them as a reference wheninspectingwork
Making visualinspections
Advising and reporting to the client and design consultant aboutcertain aspects of the contractor s work particularly whensomething has gonewrong.

RequirementsEducation&Experience
A postsecondary degree in a relevantdiscipline
A minimum (3) three years of progressively challenging CoWexperience on large commercial and/or institutional buildingsand/or civicworks
Direct experience in representing the interests of the client inregard to ensuring that the quality of both materials andworkmanship are in accordance with the design information duringthe construction phase of infrastructureprojects.
Project Management certification or registered with ProjectManagement Institute (PMI) will be considered anasset.
Representing clients during the construction phase of Northerninfrastructure projects will be considered anasset
