Reporting directly to the City Council Clerk, the Executive Assistant is responsible for providing routine and confidential administrative services and support to the Mayor, Council, Chief Administrative Officer and City Clerk.Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible office experience including 2 years of experience as an executive assistant in an office environment.Knowledge of municipal administration and secretarial services.Ability to plan and assist City staff to prepare materials and information for Council and the Chief Administrative Officer.Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to record accurate transcription of Council proceedings.Ability to adapt to and assist in the implementation of changes in organizational structure, remain abreast of current political issues, assist in bridging the gap of the administrative and political areas.
