As the Human Resources Assistant, you will help our directors and managers accomplish all HR-related tasks. You will help provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing data, coordinating events, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards. 

Requirements

A student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational, or technical program

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in the use of computer technology and various computer software applications

HR training and education is an asset

Organizational skills

About The Role

Canada Summer Job Grant Opportunity 

This is an 8-week, 35 hour per week temporary position

As the HR Assistant, you exemplify Servant leadership by prioritizing the needs of others and fostering positive, collaborative relationships with residents, team members, job applicants, students, contractors, and external agencies. You provide administrative support to the Human Resources team by producing, updating, filing, photocopying and faxing documents. Additionally, you update and enter team member data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. Your responsibilities also include planning special events, coordinating new hires, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, issuing job offers and facilitating onboarding. You handle incoming communications, create and distribute various documents and ensure time management by effectively prioritizing tasks and organizing your workload. You will actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and productive work environment. 

About You

You are energetic, personable, and organized. You thrive on interacting with our residents and team members, embodying our ministry values in your daily wok. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with your effective organizational and time management abilities, ensure you perform your tasks efficiently. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other computer applications, you can work independently or as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Compensation & Benefits

An hourly wage of $18.00 per hour based on the Canada Job Grant, and you will be welcomed into a warm and supportive work environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.
