Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
Required
3 year community college or undergraduate degree Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in Radiography or eligible for registration Professional Liability Insurance Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (or eligible for registration) Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario and the Regulated Health Professions Act Current technical experience with Digital Radiography and Computed Radiography equipment used to acquire high quality image including Operating Room Experience Current PACS experience Current CT experience IV Certification course Advanced Computer Skills Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff Demonstrated ability in the following competencies: initiative/self-management, problem solving and accountability Able to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions Able to maintain confidentiality Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team Positive advocate for professional body of Radiology and the Imaging Department Ability to work all shifts, including weekends; ability for standby and multi-site coverage when required Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes-
