About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Technologist to join our team at Brightshores. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Digital Radiography and Computed Radiography equipment to acquire high-quality images.
- Work with PACS and CT systems to ensure efficient and accurate image processing.
- Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices, maintaining a high level of technical expertise.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
- 3-year community college or undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in Radiography or eligibility for registration.
- Professional Liability Insurance.
- Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist or eligibility for registration.
- Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
- IV Certification course.
- Advanced Computer Skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and work independently as part of a team.
- Positive advocate for professional body of Radiology and the Imaging Department.
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, and participate in standby and multi-site coverage when required.
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
- Adherence to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies.
