Registered Technologist, Laboratory Department, Diagnostic Expert

We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Technologist to join our interdisciplinary team of professionals at West Parry Sound Health Centre. Reporting to the Manager of Laboratory Services and Medical Imaging, the incumbent will be responsible for the performance and interpretation of diagnostic laboratory tests and associated tasks and duties as required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests
- Conduct various laboratory tasks and duties as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care
- Develop and maintain knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
- Completion of a recognized General Medical Laboratory Technologist program
- Current active, practicing registration with CMLTO
- Previous experience in Laboratory Technology doing general work in all areas
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to laboratory programs
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs and accreditation standards
- Demonstrated excellent attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references
- An attractive hourly salary of $36.84 - $50.24 based on experience
