This is a casual position thatincludes a variety of shifts flexing between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm,including willingness to cover at our Patricia and Souch campuses based onbusiness needs. The successful candidates are expected to represent NAIT in apositive, professional manner. KeyResponsibilities:
Process sales and web orders in anefficient manner, modelling accuracy Actively engage customers by offeringsupport, suggesting items for purchase, answering questions, and resolvingconcerns in a friendly manner. Support the process of receiving,counting, tagging, and organizing inventory and customer orders Prepare merchandise for sale and assistin the promotion of products and specials Replenish floor stock and keep Team Leadsinformed of product sell-through observations Support the picking and fulfillment ofweb and special order purchases Enact loss-prevention strategies in orderto support a secure shopping environmentSkills& Abilities:
Detail orientated and an agile learnerwith the ability to retain product knowledge and confidently assist customers Excellent skills in customer service,communication, and teamwork The ability to learn and followestablished departmental guidelines and procedures Flexibility with scheduling, includingthe ability to work increased hours during peak periods and some evening andweekend shifts Must be able to lift to 50 lbs and beable to stand for up to 6 hours a dayQualifications:
Must have previous experience in a retailor customer service environment where focus was on providing an excellentcustomer experience Point of Sale experience is necessary tobe successful in the role Being able to troubleshoot digital andtechnological issues is a plus Completion of grade12 or have an equivalent combination of experience and educationApplicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration : $16.34- $21.69 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of stat holiday and vacation pay.
Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
